  1. Brilliant , so glad he was picked over Price. He pulled off some of the most cringe moments that will go down in history. What a talented, diverse entertainer.

  2. One of the best movies ever made. There really are Americans who do see the stupidity and ignorance of their country.

  3. (🎬to soon) should've showed how Sheriff Bart got outta that redneck situation .. 👤🔫 He held Himself hostage & made them put down their guns .. 😡 "Hold on men, I don't think he's bluffing" 👤 "oh baby, you are So Talented & they are So Dumb"

  4. The 70's were a great time for creativity. From the music, to the TV shows, to the movies everybody in the media knew how to create art. "Blazing Saddles" is a shining example. This film would not even be remade today.

  5. Why was the N word not blurted out everytime someone says it. In 0:23 and 0:32 the bell rings over it why not everywhere else in the movie.

  6. The first time I watched this movie in the 80s I thought it was racist. It wasnt until u take a close look and realize Brooks was making more fun of white people that black. The white people in the show were all God damn idiots. The only smart intelligent person in the film was the black man.

  7. look at the little boy in front with the brown hat. he comes in late to react. as Sheriff says Excuse me while I whip this out. It's so funny

  8. this is the only movie I can actually listen to on audio CD and still laugh. I can almost quote this entire movie backwards. if you guys know of any funnier movies made than this please let me know.

  9. The racism is supposed to be satire. It was also satirical in Gran Torino even though i don't like that movie personally.

  10. All these anti Republican comments, but historically speaking, these white folks would have been Democrat’s. But hey, keep voting for own oppression then blaming the Right.

  11. 1:35  The lady in blue to the right.  Her scream and reaction really sells the scene.  Not as funny without her.

  12. This scene still makes me laugh and howl. What glorious humor, thank you, Mister Brooks, and Clevon!!!!

  13. A black sheriff? He's black? Why not? It worked in Blazing Saddles! Indeed it did and that later film from Brooks, Robin Hood Men In Tights reminds us what a great comedy director he was at one time. My point is, Men In Tights wasn't funny but Blazing Saddles still is.

  14. This movie did more to show the stupidity of racism than any other more importantly it was really funny this is how you make a woke movie hollywood pay attention

  15. I’m really surprised that Fandango has the fortitude to promote this. I can’t help but notice that iTunes can’t settle on the cover art for Blazzing Saddles, and now, no longer uses any actors or characters in the art work. This is about the fifth time iTunes has changed the cover art. I’m not offended by Mel Brooks as an Indian with Yiddish woven into the beadwork of the headband of his War Bonnet.

  16. I really can imagine white people acting like that in the past (and also sometimes today). Humans always feared the unknown, something they couldn't understand, and having a black guy as your new sheriff is something a lot of them would fear.

  17. The BEST way to combat racism is to take the piss.
    Very funny.
The best way to combat evil cults is free speech and NO POLITICAL CORRECTNESS
