Water parks Near Me (Monmouth County, NJ)

– Well, summer is officially
underway here in Monmouth County New Jersey. Are you looking for a way
to cool off and stay busy with your kids? A water park, possibly a splash park? Well today, I’m gonna
tell you some great places to take your kids to enjoy the summer day. (upbeat music) Our first stop, Dorbrook Recreation area. (upbeat music) Park your car and take a quick stroll down a paved pathway. This spray area is truly a
water enhanced playground. Open from mid-May through early September, the spray ground opens at 10
a.m. on weekends and holidays and 11 a.m. on weekdays. Always closes at 7 p.m. There are so many cool
water features within the spray park. From sprinklers to sprayers,
water tables and more. It truly feels like a mini
water park for children. This spray ground really
is a great little place to cool off and play with waters. Important to note, there
are also huge umbrellas throughout the spray
ground, so you can grab some shade if needed. There are picnic tables
so you can pack a lunch, or take a quick two
minute stroll and purchase some of the yummy snacks. Remember, you cannot take food into the spray ground area itself. The spray park at Dorbrook
really is a great place to spend a few hours with the family. Don’t forget to pack your beach toys. There’s a great little
sand area located nearby. Also offering a dry park for kids. It’s a great place to spend a summer day. Our next stop is Runaway
Rapids located in Keansburg. With more than 18 water
slides, of varying speeds, a lazy river, and spa
pools, Runaway Rapids is a fabulous water
park located right here in Monmouth County. This fun filled water
park offers something for the youngest of children to the oldest of daredevils willing to try
out one of the water slides. The water park is open
daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. But I do suggest you
always check their website, just in case the operating
hours change due to weather. Outside food is not
permitted at Runaway Rapids. They do however, offer
places within the water park to purchase food and snacks. If you’re looking for a place
to cool off this summer, Runaway Rapids can keep the
entire family entertained for hours. Our final stop is the spray grounds located in Asbury Park This spray park is located
directly on the boardwalk. Known for the tipping teapot,
and ocean front mini golf, that is located nearby,
this is another great place to spend a hot summer’s day. The splash park is open from
10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Keep in mind there is a
fee to enter for adults and children and they offer
a family pass as well. After spending a few
hours in the splash park, you can opt to play a round of mini golf, or you can stroll along the boardwalk, and even spend a little time at the beach. Asbury Park Splash Park
is another great place to go during the summer. So there you have it. Three fantastic place that
you can relax and cool off and enjoy a summer day, right
