UTC Aquatic Recreation Center (ARC) Tour


(calm music) – Welcome to the Aquatic Recreation Center at the University of
Tennessee in Chattanooga, also know as the ARC. We have a lot of ground to cover, so let’s get started. Swipe in with your student I.D. first, then find a safe and secure
locker to store your belongings. Campus Rec’s aquatics
program is making a splash. We invite you to come
experience our state of the art Aquatics facility that
features a lazy river, a two story water slide, kayak pool plunge, spas and our five lap lane pool. Our facility is also equipped
with a hydraulic lift and zero depth entry to make it accessible to all swimmers. Whether you’re an avid lap swimmer, fearful novice, or just looking to float
down our lazy river, there’s a place for you at our
UTC Aquatics and Rec Center. Come swim with us. Our close work trophy
show our long history achievements in competitive sports. Along with our hall of fame, featuring Chattanooga Champions, through hikers, and Chattanooga Olympians. Our indoor multi-sport court
is capable of transforming into two basketball courts,
four volleyball courts, eight badminton courts,
or two soccer courts. Our eight of the mile indoor track comes complete with three
hundred and sixty degree views. UCC fitness is a great way
to get active on campus. We have a variety of cardio equipment, including bikes, treadmills,
ellipticals and more! There are plenty of free weights and plate loaded equipment
for everyone to use. We also have a personal training studio, from one on one training,
small group training, and body composition testing. UTC outdoors takes advantage
of the natural beauty that is Chattanooga by
offering outdoor day trips and weekend trips, and a lot of outdoor equipment, including kayaks, stand up paddle boards, mountain bikes, camping gear and more! They even have their
own rock climbing wall. And bouldering. Join us to try something new! Group fitness classes happen
Monday through Friday. We offer les mills body pump, Zumba, spin, yoga, and many more. They’re designed for
all levels of ability, and require no experience. And don’t forget to pick up your things in the locker room before you leave. (techno music)
