Modernizing StuyTown My name is Rick Hayduk and I’m the CEO, General Manager of StuyTown Property Services. The management company of Peter Cooper Village and Stuyvesant Town. Peter Cooper Village and StuyTown was created in 1947. We celebrated our 70th anniversary this year. There are 15 playgrounds throughout Peter Cooper Village and Stuyvesant Town. There are children playgrounds, some with water features for the warmer weather months, basketball, there is soccer and paddle tennis as well. Each have different themes. The idea behind the new fitness playground in its location and layout is to modernize the community and achieve something that the residents today are asking for. StuyTown is a very very unique village in Manhattan such that the recreational amenities are absolutely critical to the wellbeing of the residents. Residents come here because of the recreational offerings that match the park-like community that we have amongst the 80 acres. Almost half the community is over the age of 55, and the other half of the community is under the age of 35. A fitness playground is something that is universal, that crosses all demographics. We actually did an online town hall and the response that we got let us know that we were on the right track with all age groups. And I think the end result and initial reaction has been very positive.
