– [Crowd] Surprise. (upbeat music) – What led to this moment? For more than a year,
six-year-old Jermaine Bell from Jacksonville, Florida saved money for a birthday trip to the
Walt Disney World Resort, a plan that Hurricane
Dorian changed in a big way. As the hurricane moved up the East Coast and approached South Carolina, Jermaine emptied his piggy bank and bought hundreds of hot dogs, bags of chips and water. He served it all for free
to hurricane evacuees as they passed through the
small town in South Carolina where he was visiting his grandmother. Well today it’s Jermaine’s birthday and to celebrate his
selfless act of compassion we have a big surprise for him. As Jermaine was inside the
house doing an interview with Good Morning America, we were outside setting
up a magical moment. Hi.
– Hi. – Hello.
– Are you Jermaine? – Yes ma’am.
– Hi Jermaine, I’m Marilyn. We have a big surprise for you. Do you guys wanna follow me out here? All right, come on out. – [Crowd] Surprise! – When the lady came out and she said come around the corner, when I saw everything and this, I was just super happy. – We have a very special guest who also wants to say thank you as well. – When Mickey came out
I was just really happy. – Mickey Mouse and his gang heard that your original plan
was to spend your birthday at Walt Disney World. As a gift to you, we want you to come enjoy a getaway at the
Walt Disney World Resort later this month. (crowd cheers and applauds) – Really exciting. Because I wanted to go
to Disney in a long time. – Never in a million years could we have imagined
anything like this from him. Just you know coming up with an idea to help someone else. So it really does instill in him that when you do good, you
know good comes back to you. – [Marilyn] What’s Jermaine’s
message to all of us? – Be strong and if you do good things you will be rewarded. ♪ Happy birthday dear Jermaine ♪ ♪ Happy birthday to you ♪ (crowd cheers and applauds) (upbeat music)
