  1. Hi Laura, I live in Australia where it gets super hot and hanging baskets dry out so easily (hydrophobic crust forms on top and it's all over). To help combat this I like to plug up a small terra cotta pot and sink that in the middle. I make sure to fill it up when I water and it seeps through the terra cotta right down at root level. Works a treat. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. I picked up a ton of Supertunias and Superbells for my window boxes and hanging baskets! Can't wait to start planting! They did really well for me last year so I know they'll perform great!

  3. I'm all about colorful foliage including ornamental grasses, I have very little colorful flowers (trying to get a bare acre up and running with flower beds and perennials, all my expenses are for colorful and textured things that will come back year after year) but, next year will be the year of flower garden containers, lol.

  4. Hi Miss Laura! Thank you for sharing these cold tolerant plants. While I throurogly enjoy looking through all of the plants and reading the tags, it's sure nice to be sure about some to try already. Everything looks gorgeous and I can't wait to see them grow. Do ever save your seeds? I'm always trying to learn how and when to save them. Is Dexter ok? I haven't seen him in the last few videos. Anyhoo, have a blessed weekend!

  5. awesome!!!I like the colors. Love your reactions when you realized you forgot the fertilizers! haha

  6. please give me some suggestion regarding caring dianthias specially in summer and what kind of fertilizer should be given to it?

  7. I wasn't thrilled with the grass until you mentioned the possibilities with the darker colored blooms – now I want to get one and plant it up to see the combination. That is why I watch your videos! I am constantly inspired to try new things and new combinations ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. wow you said Flower instead of bloom. <3 Thank you for being so inspiring , I am in the south west of France and have a fairly big garden that I wasnยดt doing anything with. But now I watch your videos and have so many ideas for what I want my garden to grow into. It is so exciting to have a plan and it is all thanks to you and your videos. Make them longer I love them .

  9. i agree, i also dont care for the dark grass. it almost looks dead to me. i prefer brighter greens and lots of color. your videos are inspiring and fantastic Laura, as usual!!! spring is my favorite.

  10. Love the dark grass!! As you said Laura it pairs great with a blackberry or even a pretty bright petunia. If you have a design eye anyone can make it work!!!

  11. I love your videos. I have learned so much ! And my millennial generation doesn't have this appreciation. I just started gardening and you honestly made me love it even more thank you for your videos they are so imperfect and perfect and you explain everything clearly. Oh and the garden fairy videos are to die for I plan on making my mom the tea cup ๐Ÿ’•

  12. How is your front garden bed that you took the grass out and added tulips? I bet it is starting to come up beautifully! I am in LOVE with your vast gardens, such a beautiful home! ๐Ÿ’œ

  13. I need advice about what indoor plant would grow in a Southern window? I seem to kill everything because I live in an apartment with only one window that faces the south. I have blinds that have to be opened, but even pulling the shutters, I'm afraid it's too little sun and I also need watering instructions. Thank you. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! I'm just about ready to give up! Thanks.

  14. not sure how but youtube unsubbed me from your channel sometime after all your winter storms. glad I found you again!

  15. You really made me want to repot my plants and put in big containers๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒธ as I enjoyed watching you do it๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  16. I have two hanging baskets of Calibrachoa that are starting their third spring. I just brought them into the garage during the coldest winter months, trimmed them back and fertilized when it warmed up. I'm in zone 7b. This year I moved them into the coir baskets like the one you used. I added some of those water retention granular to help keep them from drying out so quickly. They are full and gorgeous again! Are they the same type of flower as the Supertunia?

  17. your flowers there are really pretty looking you asked about your grassy type plant I think it would look really good planted with other flowers in your flower bed

  18. I love your videos and you have the sweetest disposition of any YouTuber! Like. Ever. You're the best! Always make me happy sharing your love of beautiful things! Thanks for your smile. ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. Laura, wanted to give you an idea I saw a gorgeous succulent fountain made in a 5 foot tall 3 tier fountain. Super pretty!!! thought maybe one would look great in Your yard. No water of course just succulents !!! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  20. WOW, WOW, WOW just noticed the truck in the background on the video. It's about time !!! Is the truck your's or your husband's ??? ๐Ÿ˜†

  21. You mentioned that the first basket could tolerate cooler temps. Does that mean if it freezes at nightย  they will be alright. Also would having it in a greenhouse help it to grow a bit faster?

  22. Never mind, you ended up explaining the temperature questions, except about growing planters in the greenhouse.

  23. You are so inspiring to watch! I look forward to all your new videos! By the way, I love the carex. grass! I cannot seem to find it at any of the local nurseries though which is sad! Please keep making your videos!!

  24. Hi, I'm living in India. i have a question that if I want to buy these plants and potting soil, so where can I get this. can you please suggest me the best.

  25. Lovely!!! Laura what a great video!!! I have gotten brave and actually getting flowers ๐ŸŒบ in window boxes much earlier than I ever have. Great tip. Thanks!!!

  26. Is there any way to get pictures of your container plantings? It would help to take with me to the garden store, especially when they don't have the exact plants you use. Thanks!

  27. I have a gardenia shrub that's 3 feet tall in a pot indoors by a window that gives it only filter medium light. The leaves are drying up, the flower buds are turning brown not crispy but they are falling off.. Any idea what it might be?

  28. hi Laura, I'm 9 and love to watch your channel with my mom. i don't like to use dark plants for spring because in spring i like to look at bright yellows , soft pinks, light purples, and yellow-y greens. And sometimes a pop of red or salmon here and there. I love your spring hanging baskets! They are really pretty and give me a good feeling of spring!

  29. I love how every single planet is your Favorite, and thatโ€™s how i am when it comes to plants and flowers, I love your videos, and you make me laugh sometimes, you always inspired me, thank you for the good work ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽˆ

  30. I love the toffee twist. I paired in a shade container with dichondra spilling out and one coral colored impatient. We loved it. A bolt of color with neutrals was very nice in a shady spot. Sorry no picture. Thanks for your inspiration.

  31. You are adorable from one Mum to another for you now x, i have been following your vids for a couple of years x

  32. What hand soap do you use? Iโ€™m doing a survey of gardeners on what works best. That moss basket was gorgeous.

  33. I love the baskets and containers that's you do but I wish we could see them a couple weeks or a month later!

  34. The link to the fertilizer doesn't work for me. I can tell it is Proven winners but that's it. What is the fertilizer you use?

  35. I have no luck with million beils (calibrachoa) in a hanging basket They lose their blossoms, dry up and go dead underneath . I always water them daily and also feed them. I have them in the sun What is the secret to keeping them from dying? I'm in zone 6 Massachusetts

  36. Your videos bring me so much joy. I love watching them, even the old ones! Thank you for sharing so much beauty on the internet!

  37. I really love watching your videos. Iโ€™ve actually started watching the ads just so I could pay you back just a bit. Thank you for your channel!

  38. I wish u had attached a full bloom of those 2 plantations… ๐Ÿ˜’ Getting too greedy… Anyways I m inspired. Can't wait to plant one…

  39. If you add a sponge in the middle of the pot it would hold some water for the plants and not dry out so fast

  40. Hi Laura Im so lucky to fiend you.. Been watching your VD every morning faithfully and learned so much from you my little garden will look better this season specially my Hydrangeas thank you

  41. I wish you could post the names of each flower on the screen as you introduce them. It helps us newbies to look for them at the garden centre.

  42. Could you show the tag when introducing plants…I donโ€™t always catch the name! Love watching your videos!

  43. Not a big fan of grasses in general. To me, they just seem as is: just grass that's trying to seed and take over the garden. I sorta feel the same way with elephant ears and banana plants. Coming from a tropical country, these things are just tropical weeds and I feel a bit itchy after associating them more with mosquitos than a beautiful garden.

  44. I love the look of the coire baskets but they dry out too quickly. How do you water the many you have? Iโ€™ve had to line with plastic over the years, both here in Denver and in NC.
