‘If I get corona, I get corona’: Some spring breakers aren’t worried about the coronavirus pandemic

-If I get corona, I get corona.
At the end of the day, I’m not gonna let it
stop me from partying. -It’s really messing up
with my spring break. What is there to do here, other than go to the bars
or the beach? And they’re closing all of it.
It’s really messing. I think they’re blowing it way
out of proportion. -You doin’ us bad. We need a refund. This virus ain’t that serious. It’s more serious things out
there, like hunger and poverty, and we need to address that. -What we’re gonna be doing
is simply, for the statewide floor
for beaches, is applying the CDC guidance of
no group on a beach more than 10 and you have to have
distance apart, if you’re gonna be out there. So that’ll apply statewide. -Would’ve heeded the warnings. -We did, when we were younger.
-What’s the difference today? -They think they know it all. That’s what I think. They think they’re better than
the children were years ago. And we just listened.
That’s why I got to be 93 [laughs].
