HOW TO LEARN A BACK DROP ON TRAMPOLINE – TUTORIAL – Gymnastics Cheer Cheerleading How To Do

For a back drop on tramp first I like to have them lay down into that position You’re going to lay down on your back with your arms and legs in the air like this And a little bit head down And the next step I like to do is with a cheese mat and we’re not even going to add in a bounce yet We’re going to start on our feet arms here, head a little down, pick up 1 leg and just fall to your back nice and easy The next step is going from 2 feet Arms here, head down a little bit, you can bend your knees for now and jump to your back And if you want to add a little bit of a jump and try and stand back up again. The next step would be on to a sting mat and I would do those same steps and when you’re ready you can try on the trampoline. After the same steps, arms here 1 leg up and just fall to your back And then you can off of 2 feet and fall to your back And if you want to add a little bit of a jump and try and stand back up you can. Also, a back drop isn’t going to travel back, it’s actually going to travel you’re going to push your hips a little bit forward and your back lands in the same spot that your feet were You also want to try and land in the middle of your back If you land too much on your lower back it’s going to send you a little more this way kind of like a back drop pull over If you land more on your upper back it’s going to send you going this way And in the beginning on a back drop I usually have the kids start with their arms more here and they think of it more like a dead bug with their arms and feet sticking up in the air. But when you’re better you can land more with your arms by your ears. It’s up to you.
